Our Mission

The mission of the Goldston Rural Fire Department is to provide the highest standard of service to all those who may seek our help. It is our mission to protect the lives and property of the residents of Goldston and surrounding communities from the destructive nature of fire and other hazards by providing emergency response, as well as through our fire prevention and education programs.

Department Profile

Goldston Rural Fire Department is a volunteer department made up of one paid and forty volunteers. The department serves the community of Goldston and outlying areas covering approximately 82 square miles.

We respond to about 350 calls annually, including: structure fires, woods and grass fires, fire alarms, motor vehicle accidents, emergency medical calls, and any other call for help from the community.

Goldston Rural Fire Department maintains an ISO Class 6 rating within five road miles of the station. We also earned a 9E rating in areas between five and six road miles from the station. These ratings entitle any structure within six road miles from the Goldston Rural Fire Department a reduction in their fire insurance premiums.
